A panel discussion was held in Saint-Denis on January 25, 2017, with the participation of the Cuomo Foundation. The event revolved around the "International Campus towards an Ecological Civilisation », a project based in Nantes, France. The initiative is upheld by the association bearing the same name.
The Campus project is also supported by The Chinese Philanthropy Research Institute, Centre d’Etude et de Recherche sur la Philanthropie (CerPhi), Eco-Origin cluster as well as the China-Europa Forum. This latter organisation launched last year a convention named « Call for Green Alliance between China and European Foundations » of which the Cuomo Foundation is a signatory.
A platform of exchanges, meetings and debates, the CICE is willing to be a pivotal institution for both local activists and higher education institutions in order to achieve its objective of building an ecological civilisation.
The latest panel discussion was held with the participation of personalities coming from different fields such as science, higher education, research, arts, economics and philanthropy. The aim was to let each participant, based on their own experience, contribute to "co-construct tools and implementations aimed toward a new era of ecological civilisation".
The Cuomo Foundation was represented by Mr Fancisco A. Diaz Lison, the CEO.
